Did you know that 90% of the land in Osceola County is agricultural. Most land is for cattle and citrus.
There is a new iniative to try and support Osceola County grown food – which will provide to consumers a higher level of food quality, supports the local economy, helps save farmland and builds a sustainable community.
Osceola County Grown Food (www.OsceolaCountyGrown.com) is working with Kissimmee Main Street by launching the Kissimme Valley Farmers Market. This will be in Downtown Kissimmee on Tuesday evenings starting October 9th from 4-8pm. Address is: 201 East Dakin Ave., Kissimmee, Florida 34741
This is a great way to support the local farmers as the Farmers Market will offer ONLY locally grown and prepared items including: Meat, produce, dairy, plants, herbs and much more!
